NHK mentioned that they obtained the official documents issued by Myanmar military government regarding with National Service issue (Mandatory military service) for Myanmar nationals.
Myanmar nationals, men aged between 18 and 45 and women aged between 18 and 35 except for those who are physically challenged or disabled, are necessary to serve National Service in Myanmar. National Service period will take around 2 to 3 years.
NKH also mentioned that those who failed to register or try to evade the draft will be imprisonment of up to 5 years. This mandatory military service was enacted on December 17th.
